Graceway Children Academy - Teach with Happy Students

Our mission at GraceWay Children Academy is to combine early childhood learning and Christian moral standards to create a positive, age-appropriate learning environment. This environment is designed to stimulate emotional, physical, social, academic, and spiritual growth for children ages six weeks to the fifth grade through intentional opportunities and experiences.

As our philosophy, we strive to model Christian values, promote a safe, loving, and healthy environment, and minister to all of GraceWay Children Academy. We aim to bridge the gap between home, childcare, and school. We guide children to a continued positive self-image while building social skills in a group setting. Emotional, physical, social, academic, and spiritual skills are stimulated through materials and activities which are both child-centered and teacher-directed. Activities are planned to offer a sense of accomplishment and pride, based on the theory that children learn best through play at this young age. Classroom routines encourage active involvement, meaningful experimentation, and reinforcement through repetition. Schedules are designed to balance structure with free choice, as well as, active and quiet times. Through the use of Pennsylvania Early Childhood Learning Standards we acknowledge that a child develops within predictable states of what a child should know and be able to do. However, we also treat each child as an individual, working from the level each child has attained. We teach a love of learning by allowing children to experience their own stages of development and guiding them to success.

We value the involvement of parents in our program. Our greatest efforts will be magnified as we partner together in caring for, training, and preparing children for life.
